This was the first district wide event of the new school year with gorgeous almost Indian summer like weather. A large turnout of about 125 people including Mrs. Tompkins and Mrs. Jackson from the district as well as two GIS’s Mrs. Patterson (Symmes Elementary) and Mrs. Fitzpatric (Maple Dale Elementary).
There were a number of activities organizing such a bubble machine/monarch viewing/ping pong ball race and others as well as the hit event: S’mores. These were enjoyed by the children present as well as some of the adults.
All in all, it was a good opportunity for the Sycamore community to interact with some of the gifted educators as well as other like-minded parents. We are so glad to have such an active community.
