Book Worms Blast Off to the Moon, September 29, 2017
On Friday, September 29, the GEAR Book Worms met at the Drake Planetarium for a presentation about the phases of the moon, followed by a Lego Lab designed around this fall's book Midnight on the Moon (Magic Treehouse #8) by Mary Pope Osborne! We also learned how to identify several constellations and tried our hand at building Lego moon buggies. What a fun field trip!

Fifteen High-Flying Aviator Seniors shared their experiences and wisdom with an eager audience of younger students and their parents at the Student-to-Student Forum sponsored by GEAR on January 17. This annual event gives prospective high-schoolers the chance to ask questions and hear first hand invaluable insight on what to expect during their high school years.
